These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the services provided by Salbro Marketing Pvt Ltd, trading as Octopus Media ("we," "us," or "our"), including our website, Glimpse magazine, and any related applications or services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Definitions

  • "Services" refers to all products, content, and services offered by Octopus Media, including the Glimpse magazine digital platform, print delivery, and website.
  • "Subscriber" refers to any individual or entity that has purchased a subscription to Glimpse magazine.
  • "Content" refers to all articles, images, illustrations, designs, and other materials published in Glimpse magazine or on our website.
  • "Account" refers to the user account you create to access our digital services.

2. Account Registration

To access our digital services, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Keep your password confidential and not share it with others
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.

3. Subscription Terms

Plans and Pricing

We offer the following subscription plans:

  • Quarterly Digital: $12 per quarter, providing access to one digital issue
  • Annual Digital: $42 per year, providing access to all four quarterly digital issues and the archive
  • Annual Digital + Print: $65 per year, providing digital access plus physical delivery of all four quarterly issues

Prices are in United States Dollars (USD) and are subject to change. We will provide reasonable notice before any price changes take effect.

Billing and Renewal

Subscriptions are billed at the start of each billing period (quarterly or annually, depending on your plan). Subscriptions will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will be notified before automatic renewal.

Payment Methods

We accept payments via Stanbic Bank, Visa, and Mastercard. All payments are processed securely through our payment partners. You are responsible for ensuring your payment method is valid and has sufficient funds.

4. Refund Policy

You may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial purchase or renewal date.

The following conditions apply to refund requests:

  • Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the charge date
  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method
  • Processing of refunds may take 5–10 business days depending on your financial institution
  • For the Annual Digital + Print plan, if a printed copy has already been dispatched, the cost of printing and delivery may be deducted from the refund
  • Refund requests made after the 7-day window will be considered on a case-by-case basis at our discretion

5. Content Usage Rights

Our Content

All content published in Glimpse magazine and on our website is owned by or licensed to Salbro Marketing Pvt Ltd t/a Octopus Media. This includes but is not limited to articles, photographs, illustrations, graphics, logos, and designs. All rights are reserved.

Your Rights as a Subscriber

As a subscriber, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to:

  • Access and read digital issues through our secure online reader
  • Keep physical copies of printed issues for personal, non-commercial use

Restrictions

You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, or republish any content from Glimpse magazine without prior written consent
  • Download, screenshot, or otherwise extract digital content in a manner that circumvents our secure reader
  • Share your account credentials or allow others to access your subscription
  • Use our content for commercial purposes without a separate licensing agreement
  • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on our content

6. Acceptable Use

When using our services, you agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, servers, or other users' accounts
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or extract content
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of our services
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
  • Engage in any activity that could harm Octopus Media, our users, or our reputation

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Our services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied
  • We do not guarantee that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure
  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services
  • Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
  • We are not liable for delays in print delivery caused by postal services, natural disasters, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control

8. Account Termination

Termination by You

You may cancel your subscription and close your account at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting us. Upon cancellation:

  • Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period
  • No further charges will be made to your payment method
  • You will lose access to digital content after your subscription expires

Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if:

  • You violate these Terms of Service
  • You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Your payment method fails and is not updated within a reasonable period
  • You share your account credentials with others or allow unauthorised access

In the event of termination for cause, you will not be entitled to a refund for the current billing period.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Salbro Marketing Pvt Ltd t/a Octopus Media, its directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of our services, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Zimbabwe. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zimbabwe.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website and, where appropriate, by email. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
